Keeping The Repertoire Fresh!

We have been spending a lot of time at Slinky HQ over the past few weeks, adding some great new tracks to our repertoire. As a function band we always need to make sure that we are up to speed on all the latest songs which we know our clients will love. Sometimes we wait to see which tracks do well in the charts, and sometimes we just know and can get onto rehearsing it right away. A good example of this is Uptown Funk. We knew this was a Slinky track as soon as we heard it and we couldn’t wait to get playing it! While keeping up to date with the latest music is vital, we are also constantly adding more vintage tracks to our armoury too. Recently we have gone a bit 80s with Gold, Rio, and Don’t You Forget About Me. One we are really enjoying in rehearsals is Royal Bloods Little Monster.

Firstly Slinky would like to wish everyone a happy new year. After such a successful 2014 for the Slinky band, there’s no time for rest and reflection. Slinky had the opportunity last year to play some prestigious venues and Lots of amazing shows to so many wonderful people.

Stuart, Slinky’s lead singer Said “Last year the highlight for me has to be when we performed at Chelsea’s football ground in their exclusive club – Under The Bridge, and also not forgetting Headingley cricket ground, where we had the pleasure of performing three times during the year. Not forgetting our New Year show at the stunning Portmeirion village which for me topped the year off nicely”.
